malaysian favourite's dishes,it always served with ikan bilis, boiled egg,and sambal. With sambal nasi lemak, it makes dishes more special, the taste is little bit sweet, hot and spicy. I will share the sambal's recipe:
100 gr dry chilli
100 gr large onion (bawang besar)
50 gr shallot
25 gr garlic
50 gr brown sugar
50 gr anchovy (ikan bilis)
1 teaspoon of tamarind (mixed with 2 tablespoons of water)
s/p
water
method:
slice the large onion
blend all the ingredients (dry chilli,shallot, garlic) till well
heat the flame, sautee the ikan bilis with cooking oil, till fragrant
add slices of large onion, blended ingredients mixed well
sprinkle with s/p, add tamarind paste, add water
add sugar cook well. set aside
sambal ready to served with nasi lemak.
