Stuffed cheese popiah


Got left over cream cheese, don't know what to do with the cream cheese? here's simple recipe:
Popiah skin
crab stick
cream cheese (any brand) slice into jardinier
Method:
take 1 popiah skin, put crab stick and cream cheese slice in the centre
fold it envelope style, set a side
heat the frying pan with the medium heat, fry the popiah till done
serve hot with chilli sauce.

Durian Pancake


Durian,durian,durian, it's always on the top level of people favourite's fruit (those who people like it), that's why we called it 'the king of fruit'. Anyway i would like to share the recipe of durian pancake:
pancake : 250 gram flour
1 egg
50 ml of thick santan (kara's the better , i think)
500 ml water
1/2 tsp salt
filling: pitted durian, mashed/blend it
whipped cream
1 tbsp condensed milk
method: skin/pancake:
mix all the ingredient together, stir it well
heat the pan, make the pancake 1 by 1 till done, cool it down
filling: whip the whipped cream and 1 tbsp of condensed milk,
mixed well, set a side
finishing:
take 1 pancake put 1 tsp of pitted durian and 1 tsp of whipped cream in the centre
fold it by envelope style, set a side till done
durian pancake would be nice if serve chilled

fruit yoghurt pudding

This pudding so tasty,light and fresh for dessert. I would like to share it:
Fruit Yoghurt Pudding
(A) Japanese pudding powder 8 gr
water 1000 ml
sugar 200 gr
(B) japanese pudding powder 8 gr
water 600 ml
plain yoghurt 400 ml
sugar 180 gr
(C) kiwi fruit; peeled and cut into cubes
strawberry: cut into 2 pieces
method:
(A)Boil the powder, sugar and water together and stir well, set aside
(B) Boil the water, powder, and sugar, stir well, after the mixture cook well off the flame.
Pour the plain yoghurt, stir well, set aside.
Arange the strawberry in the pudding mould, pour the (A) with the spoon gradually .After the mixture harden pour (A) again. Cool it down
Pour the yoghurt mixture gradually, with the thickness 1-1.5 cm.cool it down.
Pour (A) on top of yoghurt mixture then sprinkle the kiwi cubes on it, leave it cool
Do that method till the mixture finish, set aside. Keep in the refrigerator. Transfer the pudding into the plate and ready to serve.

pumpkin bread

I had left over pumpkin in my fridge, so instead of throwing it, i 'recycled' the pumpkin to make pumpkin bread. The texture is soft and moist. and easy to make, using balloon whisk only. This recipe can also be used for banana bread and i would like to share this with you:
Pumpkin Bread
210 gr all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
180 gr sugar
1 tsp baking soda
300 gr pumpkin puree
60 ml olive oil
60 ml vegetable oil
60 ml orange juice
2 eggs beaten lightly
1 tsp of layer cake spice
50 gr chopped nuts (walnut or almond)
method:
to make puree of pumpkin: steam or bake the pumpkin till soft then smash/blend it.
whisk puree of pumpkin, olive oil, vegetable oil, till mixed well, then add egg and orange juice.
in a separate bowl mix the flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, spice and chopped nuts.
mix together dry ingredients and mixture of pumpkin, mix it well
pour into the square mould and bake for about 30 minutes at 180 degree celcius.
(note: substitute layer cake spice with: 1/3 tsp of nutmeg powder, 1/3 tsp of cinnamon powder, 1/3 all spice powder)

Nasi Lemak

 

malaysian favourite's dishes,it always served with ikan bilis, boiled egg,and sambal. With sambal nasi lemak, it makes dishes more special, the taste is  little bit sweet, hot and spicy. I will share the sambal's recipe:
100 gr dry chilli
100 gr large onion (bawang besar)
50 gr shallot
25 gr garlic
50 gr brown sugar
50 gr anchovy (ikan bilis)
1 teaspoon of tamarind (mixed with 2 tablespoons of water)
s/p
water
method:
slice the large onion
blend all the ingredients (dry chilli,shallot, garlic) till well
heat the flame, sautee the ikan bilis with cooking oil, till fragrant
add slices of large onion, blended ingredients mixed well
sprinkle with s/p, add tamarind paste, add water
add sugar cook well. set aside
sambal ready to served with nasi lemak.

Steam Chicken Wing



This healthy dishes,so easy to cook, it  can be prepared in just 20-30 minutes, here's the recipe:
6 pcs chicken wings
carrot (cut into julienne)
ginger (preferable young ginger)(cut into thin slice)
mushroom (can use; shiitake, enoki or dried mushroom)
daun bawang (cut into small length)
3 cloves garlic crushed
sesame oil
s/p
cooking oil
method:
prepare the steamer
cut chicken wings into 2 parts; drummet and wing, put it into heatproof dish
sprinke the carrot, ginger slice, daun bawang,mushroom on top of chicken wings
put 2 tablespoons of sesame oil,s/p
saute garlic with a tablespoon of cooking oil till fragrant
steam for about 25-30 minutes or till the chicken cook.off the flame
the steam chicken wings ready to served.

Chicken Rollade



This healthy dishes accompany with broccoli,cauliflowers, green beans, carrot, etc and served together with simple gravy. Here's the recipe:
ingredients:
500 gr minced chicken
1 sm corn flour
5 eggs
salt and pepper
ground nutmeg
3 pcs carrot (boiled)
greaseproof paper/ banana leaves
method:
mix well all the ingredients, add 1 egg. set aside
mix 4 eggs add 100 ml water, s/p, 1 tbsp of flour.
heat the flame, make thin omelette method 1 by 1 till the mixture finish
take greaseproof paper/ banana leaf
take 2 thin omelette side by side on the greaseproof paper/banana leaf
put the chicken mixture,put the boiled carrot in the middle
roll the mixture, and twist the side of greaseproof paper
do it till the mixture finish (it can make it 4-5 roll for 1 recipe)
heat the flame, steam all the chicken roll till cooked. leave it cool
slice cut at an angle 1 cm thick
simple gravy:
2 clove garlic, crushed
onion slice thin
s/p
ground nutmeg
sweet soy sauce
1 tbsp corn flour
cooking oil
250 ml chicken stock/ instant chicken stock maggi
method:
heat the cooking oil,
sautee garlic and onion slice till fragrant
add chicken stock, sweet soy sauce, nutmeg, s/p
add corn flour
bring to boil, off the flame
leave the gravy cool

finishing:
served the slice rollade chicken with boiled carrot,broccoli, french fries and simple gravy

Sambal Hijau Padang



Your lunch would be perfect if served with hot steam rice and crispy fried fish, mmmhh.....
here's sambal hijau recipe;
ingredients:
500 gr chilli hijau
250 gr chilli padi
250 gr shallot
100 gr garlic
150 gr tomato
100 gr ikan bilis
lime leaves
salt and pepper
cooking oil
method:
Steam all the ingredient except ikan bilis dan lime leaves
Blend all the steam ingredients together till mix well
Heat the flame, stir fry the ikan bilis and lime leaves till fragrant come out
Pour the steam ingredient, add salt and pepper,leave till the fragrant and oil come out.

If the mixture dry, add few tablespoons of cooking oil.
Off the flame and ready to serve.

sweet and sour chicken

i haven't cooked this dishes for many years and one day suddenly....it popped into my head, get this idea to cook ... it taste sweet and sour (as it names..) and spicy because i added slices of red chilli and chilli padi.....

Indonesian traditional dishes; the rice cooked in coconut milk and blend together with turmeric and some spices, it's served together with potato cutlet, sautee of chilli slices, egg slices dish (telur dadar), sautee tahu-tempe and garnish with fried onion. and don't forget shrimp cracker or emping blinjo hmm marvelous....
